REGISTRATION AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES FOR 2024-2025

Religious Education Classes for K-8 Start on September 8, 2024
We will be holding class as we have in the past.
The students will be in a classroom setting.
We meet 26 Sundays from September - May.
The Calendar will be posted on this website on July 1.
WE WILL NOT HAVE REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS

We are offering a hybrid model for registration starting this year. Please register online or in-person at one of our dates listed below.

NEW FAMILY REGISTRATION - We will be having in-person registration on Wednesday, May 22 and Wednesday, August 21 from 6 to 7:30 PM in the Parish Center located South of the Gym.

RETURNING FAMILY REGISTRATION - Online Registration starts April 22, 2024 - An in-person Registration for Returning Families will be on April 28, from 8:30 to 10 AM in the Basement - School Hall during RE. You may also attend a general registration date on May 22 or August 21 from 6 to 7:30 PM in the Parish Center.

LATE REGISTRATION will be held on Monday, September 9 from 6 to 7 PM in the Parish Center located South of the Gym. A $40 Fee will be incurred for late registration.

ONLINE REGISTRATION - CLICK HERE - When registering online, you will need to drop off or mail in a check to the Rectory. The School Year Calendar and Handbook will be released on July 1 on this website. A physical Copy of the Calendar will be handed out on the first day of class, September 8.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TUITION AND FEES 2024-2025

For ONE Child - $295.00 for the year
For TWO Children - $485.00 for the year
For THREE Children - $660.00 for the year
For FOUR Children - $830.00 for the year

Sacrament Fee - First Communion - $75.00 per Child
Sacrament Fee - Confirmation - $75.00 per Child

If paying in full by June 1, Please deduct $25 per family for early payment.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN

The Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation is a two-year process - Children are to be in St. Christina Religious Education Program for one year prior to the year in which the sacrament is to be received. This is mandated by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

If your child is making First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during the 2024-2025 School Year (2nd Grade) a copy of the child's baptismal certificate will be required at registration, even if you were Baptized at St. Christina.

If your child is making Confirmation during the 2024-2025 School Year (8th Grade) a copy of the baptismal certificate and First Holy Communion Certificate will be required, even if you were baptized and made Communion at St. Christina.

Children that have missed a sacrament - Do you have a child who has not been baptized? Or a child who missed making Communion in second grade? We can help! Any child under the age of 7 can have a short class with their parent and get baptized. Any child from ages 8-11 can enroll in our Faith Formation program and get baptized and continue with their sacrament of Reconciliation and Communion through our classes.
