On Sunday, November 13, 2022, five SCC (Southside Catholic Conference) All Stars were chosen to represent St. Christina. They were all on the Gold Team and played hard even though the other team (Green Team) won the friendly game. They are:

Golf Team Champions - May 7, 2017

Congratulations to our 8th grade golfers!
On Sunday, May 7, our golfers swept the Southside Catholic Golf League championships:
Liam McKillop won the Boys Individual Championship.
Steve Dillon placed second in the Boys Individual Championship.
Gabi Hernandez won the Girls Individual Championship.
Lauren Insley, Gabi Hernandez, Nicole Wagner, and Gaby Zepeda
won the Girls Team Championship.

St. Christina Eighth Grade Basketball Champs - November 2, 2014

Congratulations, Girls! - On Sunday, November 2, the 8th grade girls basketball team defeated St. Germaine 40-27 at Marist HS to win the South Suburban Basketball League Championship.

6th Grade Boys JV Basketball Champions - June 2014

The sixth grade boys JV baseball team went undefeated (11-0) to capture the Southside Catholic Championship.

Team members are Luke Carroll, Patrick Vincent, Mclain Kelly, James Kelly, Luke Whirty, Marty Howard, Trevor Tovey, Tom Devine, Justin Darwin, Alex Perez, Bill O’Connell, and Mike Dwyer. The team was coached by Tim Carroll, Shawn Kelly, Dave Devine, and Wally Tovey. Congratulations on a wonderful year!

5th Grade Boys Basketball Champions - April 2014

Congratulations to the St. Christina Boys 5th Grade White Basketball Team for winning the Mount Greenwood League championship! The team also received 2nd place in the South Suburban Basketball League.

St. Christina Fourth Grade Volleyball Champs - March 2014

Congratulations to our fourth grade girls volleyball team. They were champions and undefeated in both their Worth league and St. Al’s league. Coaches were Joan Bonnett, Kathy Eklund, and Tracy McDermott. Players are Emily McDermott, Molly Eklund, Paige Bonnett, Claire McGinty, Katelyn Finley, Sam Muth, Kayla Guinn, Anne Smith, Emma Turner, and Gianna Granat.

St. Christina Fifth Grade Volleyball Champs - March 2014

Congratulations to the 5th grade girls volleyball team. The team finished in 1st place for both the St. Al’s and South Side Catholic Conference divisions and took home the championship trophy as well.

St. Christina 7th Grade Volleyball Team Wins Championship - December 2013

Congratulations to the St. Christina 7th Grade Volleyball team on their Championship Win in the Mother McAuley Volleyball Tournament. The girls were undefeated for the tournament. Way to go Cardinals!

Girls Volleyball Success!

The St. Christina 7th Grade Girls Volleyball Team was undefeated in both the Mother McAuley and Marist High School tournaments.

St. Christina 7th Grade Girls Volleyball took first place in the Mother McAuley Volleyball Challenge on
December 8, 2013. They dominated every team that they faced and were undefeated for the tournament. The girls advanced to the championship in the Gold Division and defeated Incarnation 21-16 and 21-15.

The girls also took first place and were undefeated in the Marist High School Redhawk Invite on
December 28, 2013. They defeated every team they played and advanced to the championship. They defeated
St. John Fisher 21-17 and 21-5 to win the tournament.

Soccer Champs - Fall 2013

Our JV soccer teams took 1st & 2nd place this Fall 2013 in the SWCSA league. After a tough season, the 2 teams played for the championship. The game went to 2 overtimes and a shootout. Here are your 2 teams.

Championship Soccer - June 2013

Congratulations Junior Girls 3rd/4th grade team, who won the championship for the Southwest Catholic Soccer Association. The final score was 2-1. It was an exciting game and a great ending to a terrific season.

Girls Basketball Championship - Year 2012-2013

Congratulations are in order for the 8th grade girls red basketball team for a championship in the South Suburban Basketball League. They also won the Mt. Assisi Shootout championship and were runners up in the South Side Catholic Conference championship. They completed the season with an overall record of 33 wins and 8 losses. Team members are Amber Andersen, Claire Austin, Jacinda Brija, Ashley Bryja, Sara Bryja, Tori Carroll, Mary Rose Cleary, Taylor Kelly, and Athina Zoller. The team was coached by Mike Austin and Mary Carroll. Way to go girls!

Girls Basketball News in November 2012 - Year 2012 - 2013

The 5th grade red girls basketball team completed their season with a record of 31 wins and 1 loss. They were undefeated during the regular season, going 13-0 in both divisions they participated. They won the championship in the SSBL North division and reached the Final Four in the SSBL South division. Combined with their 4th grade season, this team had an overall record of 55 wins and 4 losses. Congratulations on a great season!! Members of the team are: Shannon Kelly, Clare Donovan, Maddie Bonnett, Erin Porter, Caitlin Fitzsimons, Morgan Fitzgerald, Ellie Anderson, Katie Simon, Katie Giltmier, and Jessica Shermulis. The team was coached by Pat Donovan and Tony Kelly.

The 8th grade white girls basketball team completed their season with a 25-13 record, reaching the Final Four in both the SSBL West division and Southside Catholic White division. The team won the Mt. Assisi Shootout Championship led by Emily Frost and Erin Donovan, who earned all tournament awards. Over the past 3 years the team has won over 80 games and brought home 2 championships, 1 runner-up, and 5 final four appearances!! Congrats on another successful season! Members of the team are: Erin Kelly, Sara Dowling, Erin Donovan, Erin Larkin, Catherine McMullin, Emily Bober, Emily Frost, Mary Dillon, and Mary Devine. The team was coached by Tony Kelly and Rich Dowling.

St. Christina Cardinals Win 2012 Championship Game - November 2012

St Christina beat St Barnabas 8 to 0 to win the 2012 Championship Game!!!! - Congratulations to the 7th & 8th Grade Varsity Football Team on clinching the Southside Catholic Conference Championship with a 8-0 victory over St. Barnabas in one of the most exciting and hard hitting championships played in years.

The team finished the season 9-1 and avenged a loss to Barnabas in week 2. We wish our 8th graders luck and success in high school next year. As a class they won championships in 6th grade and 8th grade.

Soccer Team wins the Southwest Catholic Soccer Association League - Spring 2011

The 7th & 8th Grade Varsity Soccer Team defeated St. Gerald 1-0 to win the Southwest Catholic Soccer Association League. The team would like to thank all those who turned out to support them. The team finished the season with an overall record of 11-0-2. For the 8th graders it capped off a great career. They played in 10 leagues, playing in 8 championship games, winning 6 titles. Their overall record since 5th grade was 103 wins, 17 losses and 5 ties.



The 8th graders were: Rose Bingham, Kaithlyn Maloney, Colleen Reilly, Kevin Griffith, Zack Johnson, Sean Kilroy, Chris McMahon, Matt Pikowski, Pat Reilly, and captains Samantha Kirby, Kristen Roszak, Sean Rio and Joe Kezon. The 7th graders were: Claire Collevy, Maggie Hackett, Jessica Wawrzyniak, Tim Adent, Mike Gallapo, Mike Gardner, and Conor Sullivan. The team was coached by Joe Kezon and Jason Witt.

Basketball Championship - Year 2010-2011

The 4th grade St. Christina boy’s team white is the South Suburban League Champions! The team finished the season with a 15-1 record. The team defeated St. Al’s on March 5th in the South Suburban Championship game at Marist High School, 20-13.



Championship team roster: Trey Affolter, Mike Bober, John Evans, Nick Kaminski, Jack Kilroe, Conor Larkin, Tyler Lona, Eric Martinkus, David Mirabelli, Nolan Murray, Jimmy Porter and Frankie Zoller.

The team worked very hard this season with coaches Ed Affolter and Frank Zoller. CONGRATULATIONS!!
