Religious Education at St. Christina

At Saint Christina, our Religious Education offers classes for Kindergarten through the 8th Grade. We meet on Sunday mornings from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM or on Tuesday Evening from 5:30 PM to 7 PM. Classes are held at Saint Christina School located at 3333 W. 110th Street.

Our Religious Education Programs are designed to educate our children who desire to learn more about their Catholic faith. The parent must insure the child attends classes, Mass, learns their prayers, and experiences a Catholic environment at home.

Through a structured program, our volunteer staff helps youth deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships with God. Each grade explores the four pillars of the Catholic faith: Creed, Sacraments, Morality and Prayer, on an age appropriate level. The books used are, based on the curriculum designated for each grade level.

St. Christina Communion program is a 2-year preparation process starting in first grade. Religious education is a necessary part of the Faith Formation for Eucharist in grade two.

Our Confirmation program at St. Christina Parish is a 2-year preparation process starting in 7th grade. Confirmation candidates study their faith in both small and large group settings, participate in special experiences of Christian community through formational sessions, and live out the call of Christian service through various service opportunities.
